Service-oriented Architecture

(SOA) is an IT paradigm based on three major concepts: service, interoperability, and loose coupling (cf. Josuttis, N.: SOA in Practice. Bejing, Cambringe, Farnham, Cologne, Paris, Sebastopol, Taipei, Tokyo, O'Reilly, 2007).
